Adult Education Electrical Power Line Mechanic InstructorThis individual will serve as a substitute instructor for adult students enrolled in the Electrical Power Line Mechanic program offered by Warren County Career Center. This substitute instructor may be called upon to teach daytime or evening classes based on program needs.Qualifications:Five years of experience as utility transmission and/or distribution linemanVerifiable journeyworker lineman classificationCurrent commercial driver license (CDL), Class AVerifiable supervisory experience as a lineman and/or teaching experience preferredValid licensure/permit by the Ohio Department of Education as an Adult Education Instructor (or be willing to obtain credential)Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employmentAble to successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check after job offer is madeResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Delivers meaningful and sequential instruction with relevant learning activities to meet course objectivesRevises courses, in conjunction with the program Coordinator, in order to stay upto-date with advances in the utility industryFacilitates traditional classroom instruction, indoor/outdoor hands-on lab exercises, and evaluates student performanceTracks student attendance, written and performance assessments, and enters attendance and grades into student management system (SMS)Assists with instructional equipment inspections and maintenanceHelps students identify goals and make appropriate choicesWorks with program advisory committee to advance program innovations, evaluate the significance of emerging technology, create opportunities for students, and ensure program standards and activities are relevant to the needs of business and industryAdheres to the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio EducatorsMaintains and upholds compliance with Board policies and other applicable procedures/guidelinesPerforms other duties as assignedSalary: $31.08 per hourDeadline: Ongoing-until filled
